The Bay of Bandol

Nestled on a private peninsula in the province of Phú Yên, Bãi San Hô offers rich and authentic cultural heritage and natural beauty away from mainstream tourist destinations. The region is known for its spectacular sunrises and unique biodiverse landscapes that include the ancient Da Dia Reef (meaning ‘Sea of Cliffs’), more than 189km of coastline, lakes, bays, and coastal island clusters containing over 300ha of coral reefs. Surrounded by lush vegetation and traditional paddy fields, the area is also home to floating fishing villages that offer the freshest local seafood.

Bendor’s rocks shines brightest in May-October, when temperatures dance between 22°-32°C and lavender scents the sea breeze. July-August brings vibrant energy and warm swimming conditions (avg. sea temp: 24°C), while May-June/September-October offer warmth with fewer visitors. Winter unveils a different charm: mild 12°-18°C days perfect for coastal walks between November-April, though occasional mistral winds may bring brief rainfall. Note the island closes annually at winter time. For event planners, May-June promises golden-hour weddings; September’s grape harvest in Bandol sets an idyllic meetings backdrop.

Your island journey begins at Bandol’s harbor, where our complimentary shuttle (10-min ride, hourly departures) awaits reservation holders. Nearest airports: Toulon-Hyères (TLN, 40km/55-min drive) or Marseille-Provence (MRS, 76km/1hr) with transfers arranged. By road, coastal routes from Saint-Tropez (87km/2hr) or Aix-en-Provence (71km/1hr) offer some iconic hill views. Numerous private yacht moorings available on the Riviera. Upon arrival, embrace the car-free ethos: facilities interconnect via short walk through pine groves,  electric buggies also remain available. Helicopter transfers land at Le Castellet (CTT, 12km away).
